The redevelopment of Rinascente of Piazza Fiume in Rome by Franco Albini and Franca Helg is an ambitious project, involving important names of contemporary architecture.
How are the design solutions chosen and implemented? How can history and modernity coexist? How to convince the Superintendence of the validity of a project? On the stage of Theatro, finally in presence, and in streaming with many subscribers remotely, the architects of the work in progress told their experience of construction, project and vision. The words of Pasquale Agresti, architect of Rinascente, Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli of 2050+, Simona Calcinaghi of Archilabo, Marcello Bondavalli of studio wok, Gabriele Cagliani of Thema and Massimo Bottacchi of Schüco have highlighted once again how design is a choral operation in which it is necessary the collaboration of different skills and professionalism united by the same passion for good architecture.

This was the last meeting for 2021 of the series Building "approaches” organized by Theatro in collaboration with ProViaggiArchitettura and Casabella Formazione.
