“The Great Stadiums Today and Tomorrow” – a roundtable discussion among the big names in sports design featuring Populous, Sportium, Gau Arena, and Archea Associati, organized with SeiMedia.
The meeting, organized by Sport&Impianti and Theatro, will compare analyses of today and ideas for tomorrow.
Through institutional interventions, discussion sessions, and the technical roundtable, a space for dialogue will be created dedicated to the challenges and opportunities that large sports facilities offer for the future, both at the design and social levels.
The event, scheduled for June 18, 2026, will be organized into two training sessions:
PROGRAM:
PART ONE (3 CFPs)
2.30pm (registration 2pm) – 5.45pm
A session dedicated to the state of the art of stadiums in Italy with a look at EURO 2032.
With contributions from Giovanni Spitaleri and Antonio Talarico (FIGC), Donato Foresta (5ive Sport Consulting), Alessandra Romano (Bolina Ingegneria), together with a case study on the Como Stadium and technical-commercial contributions, a debate will be opened on Italian proposals, regulatory aspects, design challenges and UEFA requirements.
SECOND PART (2 CFPS)
6.15pm (registration at 5.45pm) – 7.45pm
A roundtable discussion will compare four design firms —Populous (architect Silvia Prandelli), Sportium (architect Giuseppe De Martino), Archea Associati (architect Marco Casamonti, architect Francesco Dall’Ò), and Gau Arena (architect Carolina Zavanella) on the topic of large contemporary stadiums. Through the dialogue led by the moderator, aspects related to design, the relationship with the city, and creative processes will be addressed, with the possibility of intervention by the public as well.

Up to 5 CFPs are planned for Architects: 5 for the entire conference, 3 for the first part, 2 for the second part.
